Consultants: Do You Really Need A New Website?

For consultants working with franchise brands, what's the point of duplicating the micro-website they've given you?

We have a couple of clients working with us at SLO Media who are just like that. Their franchisor gives them a micro website with all the information people need to discover them in their local area and see what services they offer. However, they didn't bother creating another individual website, spending a fortune on duplicating what their franchisor created for them.

As a consultant, be it in financial services, coaching, referral marketing, or any one of a whole host of industries, what you need to do is show people your knowledge and wisdom as well as prove your authority when out networking. SLO Media can certainly help you with that.

One word of caution though. If you are thinking about working with us, it is possible that your franchisor doesn't allow any form of individual website or blog because they want to keep a level playing field across all of their consultants.

Check your Terms & Conditions first as we could put a lot of work in getting you all set up, simply for you to get a slap on the wrist and an order to cease and desist once we've published your first blog post. It has happened before, so we feel that we should point it out to you.
